Free fonts? For me? Yes, please!

Ever since I was a little kid, I've been fascinated by what I consider a true, yet somewhat rare art form: typography, especially script and calligraphy. I never mastered it myself, which is why I go a little coo-coo when I see a beautiful font. 

I know it's kind of cheating to use pre-made fonts, because I didn't actually put the pen to paper and write the script myself, but hey, we live in an age of technology, and it's no less beautiful to me. Honestly, I could get lost in font sites for hours. Here are a few of my favorite free font websites:

But when would I use anything other than the usual fonts, you might ask? Absolutely everywhere, all the time! Here are a few ideas:

I open my window, and what do I see?
A flutter of fall falling on me...

I think I am not alone in loving the crispy cool fall weather, with its moody days, dreamy evenings, gentle breezes and the colors of the sunrise everywhere--in the crunchy leaves falling from the trees, the glorious skies, the fields of golden corn, the sunset-orange pumpkins...I could go on and on. 

I'm not a pumpkin spice-latte kind of gal, but I will admit to lighting an apple-cinnamon-pie scented candle in the cool evenings when I want to feel cozy.
